Area Delivery Organisation: Cre8us - Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire

Cre8us are encouraging schools across Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire to apply to join the Enquiry School programme 2010-2011!

Can Cre8us help you?
At a time when new curriculums are being introduced and rolled out for the Primary and Secondary sectors, and creative learning skills are seen as core to the education of young people, the Creative Partnerships programme is working with schools to transform teaching and learning across the curriculum, enabling young people to develop the skills they need to perform well not only in exams and extra-curricular activities, but also in the workplace and wider society.

Cre8us is the organisation that delivers the Creative Partnerships programme throughout Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire. This flagship creative learning programme is designed to work in partnership with schools to develop the skills of young people, raise their aspirations and achievements and open up more opportunities for their futures.

Why get involved?

  • Schools that work with Creative Partnerships improve their SATS and GCSE results faster. NFER research shows an increase in CP schools of 2.5 points on GCSE grades.
  • 7 out of 10 secondary head teachers say Creative Partnerships improves pupil behaviour in their school.
  • 78% have seen an increase in pupils' ability to learn independently.
  • 94% of schools say there has been an improvement in teaching skills.
  • Academic evidence shows that Creative Partnerships increases parental engagement in children's learning.

Is your school ready to try a new creative approach?
Cre8us are now offering the opportunity to even more schools in our region that want to try out new creative approaches to teaching and learning and are prepared to work with creative professionals to make this happen.

We are looking for schools to join our 2010-2011 Enquiry School programme

The Enquiry School programme is a 1 year creative learning programme, typically targeted at a specific group of pupils and teachers. Schools receive up to £3000 of funding and support from a creative professional to explore and develop a new creative approach to teaching and learning in a way that will benefit their school. Schools must match fund 25% of the total budget (i.e. £1000 giving a total budget of £4000).

The deadline for Enquiry School applications with Cre8us for the 2010-2011 programme is FRIDAY 11 JUNE 2010.
