Creative Learning Conference - "Space to reflect in partnership with others"

Teachers, creative practitioners and other project partners and stakeholders gathered at the UKCCA for a Creative Learning Conference on 12th May 2010 exploring the key Creative Partnerships values: question, connect, imagine and reflect.
The day included an invigorating key-note speech by Dave Keeling, an Associate from Independent Thinking; a carousel of workshops on carnival, collaboration and creative thinking; an energetic body percussion session from Louis Labovitch and lots of time and food for thought.
Participants valued the opportunity to network; to share experiences of both successes and challenges and the “space to reflect in partnership with others”, as one practitioner commented. In the words of another it was “a refocusing and rethinking opportunity” and people went home refreshed, inspired and ready, as one motivated teacher said, “…to make things happen at school.”
